Beyond the horizon, in the vast, azure blue ocean Zeus finally reaches the secluded island, his abandoned home. As he sniffs into the air, catches the flavor of sea corals, the saltiness of seafood mixed with a scent of wildflower reminds him of poppies or mallows that have this mysterious allure to them. It was dawn, the light was just about to burst in, the air was filled with smoky fog that surrounded this place into a secretive mysticism. Behind him, sounds of smothered splashes of water, whistles, clicks, and ocean waves create a fascinating, healing orchestra filling his lonely heart with joy and harmony.
Healing art, that is what he needs.
It has been so long; he has nearly forgotten how it feels to be back here. The peace, the ocean, the island, the music sparks his imagination, give rise to his intention to compose a poem, a song, a picture that he can escape with. It was so harsh out there in the airy heights with his old father, it nearly crushed his soul. The lord of time and reality is not easy to deal with. Despite his altruism, philanthropy, and generosity, he simply wasn’t able to manifest as much as he yearned to do so. “Not for 20 odd years, will I have to meet him face to face again” sighs with relief. “I’m going to check back on him soon, then I’ll leave him to rule over his kingdom of hilly, windy heights, viaducts, and all those weird places.”
Feeling much better here, he stops and looks around, sensing somebody’s presence. “Is that you, brother?” but no answer came. ‘He might be out at sea, navigating lost sailors doing his ideal daily grind’ Zeus contemplates. Gazing at the peacefulness of the ocean, tuning in to the healing song of dolphins, he suspects his brother is in good spirit. “I might see him, I might not” utters a whisper from his lips, knowing how elusive his kin is.
Slowly, he saunters into his bedroom. Tired, he puts his head down on the pillow and lets himself get lost in the subconscious reality. This is his true home, where he can dream up the future of his kingdom, the picture that he can materialize when he’s awake.
