Artistic New Moon in Pisces

This Saturday we are experiencing one of the most beautiful, mystical, artistic and spiritual New Moons of the year. New Moon happens when Moon in her fast journey around the ecliptic reaches the exact degree of the Sun. At this point and few degrees before and after the dark moon phase occurs when the Moon is unilluminated by the Sun. Read on to be introduced to the richness and fertility of this lunar phase and learn how to best use it to your advantage.

Astronomers unofficially refer to it as Black Moon, this phase happens when the Moon’s Earth facing side is fully in shadow so it becomes totally invisible from our point of view. Don’t be frightened from the darkness of the Moon as it is one of the most fertile phases of the moon, when the seeds of intentions are to be planted. Similar to a gardener or to pregnant woman’s anticipation, we know the seed is there, but we cannot see the fruition just yet. The moon is covering it with a dark blanket, keeping it warm, it’s still sleeping to gain the strength needed to push out from the ground, from the darkness, to begin its maturation with the growing light of the Moon. It’s a new dawn for whatever is being impregnated, a new fertile cycle begins, is going to start it growth so we can reap the fruits in six months’ time with Pisces full moon, or sometimes a bit later in one and a half year time with the next Pisces full moon.

Pisces is all about gentleness, spirituality, dreaming and art. Modern ruler Neptune has been in the sign for the last couple of years and conjoins now this mystical New Moon. Neptune rules things that have no boundaries, as it’s the natural ruler of the endless ocean. Greek mythological figure Poseidon, the God of the seas, to whom all sailors used to pray to keep them calm and safe at sea. His trident has power over seas and land and when he wields it, he can make roaring waves, tsunamis or even catastrophic earthquakes when he strikes the Earths. The symbolism speaks for the power of our emotions (water) and our dreams as well as the subconscious, all under the rulership of Neptune. Also being the higher octave of Venus, represents art, poetry, music, film industry, photography in its highest manifestation.

Venus, the Greek Aphrodite joins up, beautifies this New Moon in Pisces. The natural ruler of art, beauty, charm and love makes this constellation even more appealing, invites us to emerge in artistic endeavours, spiritual retreats, soul healing mediations where we can plant the seeds of intentions once we have emptied our fertile ground. The sextile from Pluto can make this journey transformational, intense and also very healing.

It is the time now to ask your higher self to show you the next step in your dream, the last time when we can retreat to our fantasy and imagination to visualize and create the future we picture in our mind and later in our reality before the roaring Aries season will kick in.
